Final Response to Authors of “Experimental Evaluation of Relationship Between Radiofrequency Heating Near Implanted Conductive Devices, Scanner-Reported B _1+rms , and Transmit Power”

This final reply focuses on three key sentences: 1)The following incorrect statement: “there are no user-controlled RF shimming instructions in the implant safety labeling.” 2)The consequences of not controlling, nor documenting, experimental parameters with variable impact on the results: “The scanner was allowed to make all of the RF adjustments automatically to avoid user induced variation.” 3)Stratifying the diverse experiments demonstrates equal temperature spread in a power vs B1+rms comparison: “We encourage the authors to view Fig. 4 and observe the vertical variation of RF power with RF coils for a given B1+rms.”
