Minerals play an important role in the ration of farm animals. They are the main element of all metabolic processes occurring in the body. A lack of minerals in the ration can lead to metabolic disorders, which negatively affects the productivity of animals. The purpose of the work was to study the dairy productivity of cows Holstein breed when using the mineral feed additive Animax in their rations. In order to research the effect of the Animax mineral addtitive on milk productivity and milk quality of first-heifers Holstein breed, 45 heads were selected taking into account the criteria of the pairs of analogues (age, health, calving time, body weight, milk productivity level and fat content in milk). The animals were divided into three groups (control and two experimental) of 15 cows in each. Cows of the 1st experimental group received 75 g of the additive per day, the 2nd received 50 g/head/day, and the control group received the basic ration without the additive. Certain differences in the digestibility of nutrients from different rations in different groups of animals have been identified. The highest digestibility of dry matter was observed in cows of the control group amounting to 79.5 %. This indicator exceeded the data of cows of the 1st and 2nd experimental groups by 4.51 and 4.30 abs.%, however, the difference was statistically insignificant. The highest daily milk yield of basic fat content was observed in the 2nd experimental group 32.4 kg, which was by 8.1 % more than that of herdmates from the 1st experimental group and 9.0 % more than the milk yield of cows in the control group. It was recommended according to the research results to introduce the mineral feed additive Animax in a dosage of 50 g/head/day into the compound feed.
