The Global Fund and the Private Sector: A Steady and Healthy Relationship

Abstract This article provides a high-level overview of the relationship of the Global Fund to Fight aids , Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund) with the private sector by describing the different contexts of collaboration with the private sector, and it draws some parallels between the engagement of private sector entities within the Global Fund’s ecosystem and within a wider set of international organizations. The article also presents the principles and parameters that guide the Global Fund’s engagement with private sector entities and individuals in these contexts, thereby instilling stakeholders’ trust and confidence in the Global Fund’s decision-making processes and its operations.
