Nerve‐sparing total prostatectomy with or without adjuvant chemotherapy is associated with a low rate of surgical complications, long‐term continence and improved survival in 22 dogs with <scp>T1</scp> to <scp>T3</scp> prostatic tumours

In carefully selected dogs with early-stage (T < 4) prostatic disease, nerve-sparing total prostatectomy is associated with a low complication rate, favourable long-term continence and encouraging survival outcomes. This approach offers a viable treatment option for dogs with limited local disease.
