Part One — On the Condition — contains three lectiones executing the full 8-step scholastic method (textus, lectio, quaestio, objectiones, sed contra, respondeo, ad objectiones, nota) on the Ark's opening diagnosis: Lectio I.1 — "Meaning is a finite resource" (§0.0.1). Emergence: the six expenditures as a taxonomy of compression modes; the propagation law connecting COS to ecological extraction; "currently being exhausted" as a rate claim answerable through compression/extraction ratio.
