Sterilants for Commensal Rodent Management

Commensal rodents, such as rats and mice, pose significant public health risks and economic losses due to their ability to transmit diseases and contaminate food and water sources. Traditional methods of rodent control, such as lethal traps and rodenticides, have been criticized for their inhumane treatment of the animals and “greener” chemistries have been explored for many decades now. While progress is being made, significant challenges still exist that are inherent to rodent behaviour and issues involving regulation and registration.
