Cultural Intelligence, Psychological Need Satisfaction, and Job Satisfaction

The present study examines the relationship between cultural intelligence, psychological need satisfaction, cross-cultural interaction effectiveness and job satisfaction at a university faculty level. The study aims to understand how the cultural intelligence and psychological need satisfaction of teaching staff affects their satisfaction with their jobs during cross-cultural interaction with international students. Study also aims to identify the mediating role of intercultural communication among these variables. The analysis was performed on 443 respondents the study finding infers a positive impact of cultural intelligence on job satisfaction and also finds the mediating effect of intercultural communication effectiveness. Based on the findings of the study, some practical and theoretical contributions with a future scope of further study are also provided in the study.
