. Introduction. At present, we are witnessing the popularization of attitudes, values, and behavior patterns that introduce distorted ideas about traditional spiritual and moral values, family culture, and family values into the life of humanity. Therefore, it is very important to learn to resist these trends in order to preserve the uniqueness and integrity of one's personality. The relevance of studying value topics increases during crisis and transition periods of social development, caused by a reassessment of the value system, and accordingly, there is a growing need to preserve the traditional family culture and form a normative value model of family values among modern students. The purpose of the study: to study the distribution of family values of modern students. Materials and methods. The study used: content analysis devoted to the study of the concepts of "value" and "family values". The following sources were used in the research:scientific articles on the research problem; conceptual documents defining the directions of development of the spiritual and moral sphere of the individual in the general education system in the Russian Federation; a survey of the distribution of family values of modern students was conducted using the questionnaire “Attitude to Family Values” by Govorukhin G.E., Androsova I.S. Results. In the structure of spiritual and moral values, the surveyed revealed a dominant degree of the established model of traditional family values: parents (73.30%), love (53.60%), mutual understanding (60.60%), support, care (54.50%); less expressed husband/wife (37.40%), children (33.30%), trust (33.30%), loyalty (25.30%), respect (20.20%). Of the options offered, students choose “family” in 83.84% of cases, which shows that respondents’ priority in the future is creating their own family. A contradiction was also revealed in the choice of family values for the “children” criterion. Discussion. The formation of moral qualities of modern students is closely connected with the interaction of several factors: social environment, pedagogical influence and personal work on oneself. The leading factor in the formation of family values of is the established relationships in the family [8]. The discussion emphasized that relationships with parents, friends and people around us play a significant role in this process. Conclusion. In the process of studying the distribution of family values of modern students, it was found that the majority of respondents have established a dominant degree of the established model of traditional family values, but a contradiction in the choice of family values was established.
