Abstract

Overall, Indian ECT research is broad and methodologically diverse, yet important gaps remain, particularly regarding long-term outcomes, cost-effectiveness, qualitative perspectives, and ultrabrief pulse ECT. Addressing these gaps, enhancing awareness, and strengthening service capacity remain paramount.
