This book concludes that hydrogels and aerogels are the next revolution in textile science, which allows a sustainable, high-performance, and intelligent material system. Their porous, lightweight, and multifunctional structures should be used to promote advanced applications in the protective clothing sector, comfort wear, biomedical textiles, and wearable technologies. Hydrogels are moisture responsive and biocompatible whereas the aerogels are incredibly insulated and ultra-lightweight. The future of hybrid hydrogel–aerogel systems with a combination of both involves adopting the noble role of adaptive textiles with the ability to control the microclimate and react in response to personal environmental signals. Although the challenges affect brittleness, cost, scalability, and recyclability, the development of green chemistry, bio-based polymers and circular economy solutions will present potential solutions. This will require interdisciplinary cooperation to translate these innovations into sustainable consumer ready products. In general, hydrogels and aerogels represent the future of the eco-functional, adaptive, and intelligent textile materials.
