<scp>IRAC</scp> : Insecticide Resistance and Mode of Action Classification of Insecticides

The control of many of the world's most destructive agricultural and public health pests largely relies on the application of insecticides. Cases of insecticide resistance continue to expand, as do the number of invertebrate pest species that have evolved resistance to one or more insecticides. The crop protection industry views resistance as an extremely serious threat and an issue that needs a proactive approach to effectively manage insecticide resistance. The Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) has been dedicated to making this a reality by providing an insecticide mode of action classification to support the implementation of appropriate resistance management strategies.
