Unexpected Axillary Metastasis in a Patient With Primary Lung Cancer

A 72-year-old man with a known history of chronic kidney disease presented for a routine follow-up examination, and he reported noticing a mass in his left axilla in recent weeks. Subsequently, a sonographic evaluation was performed, and he was referred for a biopsy. The biopsy revealed a metastatic lymph node. Primary lung cancer rarely metastasizes to the axillary lymph nodes without mediastinal lymph node metastasis.
