The deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) in the medical field provides a revolutionary opportunity to enhance diagnostic accuracy, speed up clinical processes, and enhance patient care. In order to safeguard patient safety and confidence, however, use of AI systems also poses challenging ethical, legal, and operational problems that must be addressed. The moral concerns of AI applications in healthcare, including bias, accountability, transparency, and privacy of data, are critically discussed in this chapter. It provides strategic guidelines for achieving the balance between innovation and patient-focused care, highlights actual case studies, and provides best practices to adopt AI responsibly. To help stakeholders in the ethical use of innovative AI technologies that are patient-safe, the chapter emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary coordination, continuous monitoring, and respect for ethical standards.
