Contemporary Discourses in Education

Teaching-learning is at the core of the education system. It has been recognised that contemporary teaching and learning are facing several issues. This idea evolves to understand the issues with teaching-learning in a contemporary scenario and to find plausible solutions for the same. We have undertaken a series of deliberations. This book is an attempt to concretise that series of deliberations between Sanjeev Kumar Jha and Ashok Kumar, the editors of the book, along with a diverse range of academics and scholars across the country, who have contributed to the book as a chapter. The critical analysis raised issues and suggested the solutions in the following specific areas, i.e., technology, blended learning, liberal arts, art-integrated learning, teacher education and their professional development, effective school leadership, guidance and counselling, universal declaration on human rights education, several psychological aspects of learners, and privatisation of education.
