Optical path gauge structure in geometrical optics

We show that local phase transformations in geometrical optics can be expressed as contributions accumulated along ray trajectories. The total phase depends on both the refractive index and the local phase. By introducing a vector field representing the phase gradient, the eikonal acquires a gauge-like structure. This formulation links optical path accumulation to global and topological properties of the field.
