An Analysis of the Zabarmawa Entrepreneurship in Gusau Metropolis, 1930- 2000

This paper discusses major areas of economic activities of Zabarmawa migrant community in Gusau metropolis in the 20th century. Zabarmawa migrants in Gusau engage a substantial number of economic enterprises and they have positively impacted on the economic life of Gusau metropolis. The major areas of economic activities of the Zabarmawa discussed include the sale of cassettes (Yan cassette), second hand clothes, gold and mining trading, tourist car trading, bureau de change and water selling. The tool for data collection of this study include interview schedule to key Zabarmawa informants in the metropolis. This is in addition to the use archival of related secondary materials obtainable from national archives and libraries.
