Impact of evidence-based nursing interventions on the management of diabetic foot ulcers: a detailed review

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) represent one of the most severe and costly complications of diabetes mellitus, contributing significantly to morbidity, hospitalization, and lower limb amputations worldwide. Evidencebased nursing interventions play a crucial role in the prevention, assessment, and management of DFUs, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life. This comprehensive review synthesizes recent evidence from the last decade to examine the impact of nursing-led, evidence-based practices on DFU management.
