Developing students' creative abilities through participation in concerts and competitions

Training as a vocal or stage performer at a higher educational institution requires participation in concerts and competitions to consolidate and develop professional skills. The Department of Arts at the Moscow University for the Humanities uses various opportunities to attract students to participate in concert programs and creative contests that take place on television channels. Students perform in holiday shows dedicated to Victory Day, Cosmonautics Day, International Women's Day on March 8th, Defender of the Fatherland Day, "Musical Break", and "Green Week". Special responsibility is felt by students when preparing for concerts before participants of SMO who are undergoing treatment in hospitals, participating in the program "Children of Russia to Children of Donbass" and others. This article demonstrates that such activities have both educational and professional content, serving as a methodology for training stage performers.
