CO2 and CH4 flux measurements from the perimeter of a wetland – data gathered at Trifoglietti in Fagnano Castello (Calabria, Southern Italy) between 2024 and 2026

This dataset reports the results of a measurement campaign at Trifoglietti lake, in the municipality of Fagnano Castello (Calabria, Southern Italy - Lat: 39.5488 °N, Lon: 16.0223 °E, Elev: c.a. 1045 m ASL). Between August 2024 and February 2026, the area was subject to surveys assessing CO2 (carbon dioxide) and CH4 (methane) fluxes over eight transepts around the lake, each with three points: P (peat, 1 m towards the center of the lake); I (interface), and E (external, 1.5 m in the opposite direction). The instrument used for these measurements, manufactured by Thearen Ltd., is described in Apollaro et al. (2025: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.2025.178611).
