Laboratory Evaluation of Water Flooding Coupled with Immiscible Nitrogen Injection

This study reports laboratory experiments evaluating enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods for highly viscous oil (796 cp) using real formation fluids and unconsolidated sand pack models.Water flooding experiments demonstrated limited efficiency: although 63% of oil was recovered after injecting 33 pore volumes (PV) of water, early-stage flooding yielded only 23% recovery at 0.5 PV with an 85%
