The purpose of D2.5 is to reflect on the activities and approach of WP2 and ensure that future progressis in alignment with developing project needs and findings. This includes considering the integrationof WP2 outcomes with the activities of other WPs. As such, this deliverable summarises theprioritisation of ES Indicators (ESI) and more specifically ESI methods (ESIMs) for use within WP2 andtheir development for use in agricultural systems. This prioritisation is informed by the multi actorapproach (MAA) activities within WP1, and life cycle assessment modelling tasks based largely withinWP3, though also WP4. Steps towards integrating ESIMs into downstream WP6 activities are alsodiscussed. It should be noted that as many Pilot Study systems are currently in-progress via multi-yearexperiments, and a synthesis on the impacts and optimisation of legume inclusion ES delivery in PilotStudy systems is not included here. D2.5 first considers ESI priorities as identified from WP1 led MAA workshops and progress on thedevelopment of ESI/ESIMs (where required), and subsequent prioritisation of ESIMs for land managers(farmers, advisors and AES monitoring stakeholders). Finally, D2.5summarises how these insightsrelate to downstream project activities, and future development of ESI/ESIMs (where required).Recommendations regarding use of ESIM for project activities are made throughout this report,summarised on the following page. The full list of ESIMs (Annex 1), may also be of use to other research initiatives aiming to monitorlegume integration into cropping systems.
