The stubborn incidence of PoAF requires equally stubborn inroads to find novel regulatory proteins and/or trustworthy biomarkersz. This useful study by Cozac et al. [9] further establishes IL-2 as an important, yet poorly understood protein in the onset of PoAF and sets a solid basis for future investigations in the clinic and using innovative rodent models.
