Management of Science Instruction: Establishing the Driver and Trends for Tomorrow’s Classroom

This study investigated the management of future-ready science instruction within the public school system, evaluating teachers' pedagogical competence, the effectiveness of current capacity-building programs, and the systemic barriers affecting classroom implementation. The goal was to develop an evidence-based Educational Management Plan. Employing a, quantitative data were gathered from science teachers and school heads to establish baseline metrics, followed by qualitative Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to deeply contextualize the statistical findings. Quantitative findings revealed an institutional illusion of compliance. While respondents rated teachers' competence and training programs as Very Highly Competent and Very Highly Effective, correlation analysis established no significant relationship between educators' demographic profiles and their actual instructional competence. Furthermore, an independent samples t-test revealed a highly significant difference between school heads and teachers exclusively in their perception of Training Content & Relevance, exposing a deep macro-micro administrative disconnect. The study concludes that current professional development frameworks are reactionary and compliance-driven rather than pedagogically transformative.
