Applied AI in Maritime Operations: Domain Adaptations of General AI Primitives on a Live Fleet

We document eight domain adaptations of general AI techniques for maritime operations, grounded in a live deployment on M/V Cape Glory (31 compliance checks, 2026-03-23). Adaptations cover: LLM routing by rule domain rather than task complexity, seafarer memory with cryptographic wipe on sign-off, rule-corpus-validated synthetic data generation, domain-anchored self-consistency scoring, Hindi-maritime voice interaction for freight booking, SFI-code-aware procurement fraud detection, legally-ordered compliance gates, and offline edge inference via cached VIVEKA conclusions. Each adaptation explicitly acknowledges the source technique and claims novelty only for the maritime-specific modification.
