Organization of Medical Evacuation Measures during the Liquidation of the Medical and Sanitary Consequences of a Large-Scale Emergency with a Large Number of Victims – a Railway Accident with the Derailment of Cars of a Passenger Train

The objectives of this study are to analyze the organization of medical evacuation measures during the liquidation of the medical and sanitary consequences of a large-scale emergency situation (ES) with a large number of casualties – a railway accident with a derailment of passenger train cars; to develop an algorithm for conducting medical evacuation measures during the liquidation of the medical and sanitary consequences of a large-scale emergency with a large number of casualties that occurred on a railway in a remote area in winter; to develop an algorithm for organizing medical evacuation measures during the aftermath of a large-scale railway emergency with a large number of casualties in a remote location during winter. Research materials and methods. Research materials include the official website of the Sverdlovsk Railway, service documents for the Sverdlovsk Railway, regulatory and methodological documents governing the work of the Emergency Medical Service and the Disaster Medicine Service, and scientific publications on the topic of study. Research methods: analytical and statistical methods, direct observation, logical and information modeling. Research results and analysis. The organization of emergency response operations during the response to the medical consequences of a large-scale emergency with a large number of casualties –a railway accident involving a derailment of a passenger train – was analyzed. An algorithm for conducting emergency response operations during the response to the medical consequences of a large-scale emergency with a large number of casualties that occurred on a railway in a remote area during winter was developed. A number of conclusions were drawn. The main ones are: 1) Responding to the medical consequences of such emergencies is a rather complex task; 2) In such situations, it is necessary to rely on cooperation with Russian Railways services.
