Anxiety Levels Among Third-Trimester Pregnant Women in Facing Childbirth

This study aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety levels among pregnant women who were about to undergo childbirth at a Community Health Center (Puskesmas). The population consisted of 50 third-trimester pregnant women, all of whom were included as research participants using a non-probability sampling technique through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale instrument consisting of anxiety scales assigned to each trimester. Data analysis was performed using JASP version 0.18.3.0 for Windows. Based on bivariate correlation analysis, a relationship was identified between anxiety levels among third-trimester pregnant women in facing childbirth, with a rho correlation coefficient of 0.163 and a significance value of p < 0.05. The rho coefficient indicates a positive association, while the p-value below 0.05 demonstrates that the relationship is statistically significant. These findings suggest that anxiety among pregnant women approaching childbirth may be influenced by other related factors. Furthermore, the mean score for the anxiety variable was 32.200, indicating that the anxiety level of third-trimester pregnant women in this study falls within the high category.
