A Brief Theoretical Examination of the Developmental Process of Continuous Learning and Teaching: From Antegogy to Gerontogogy

There are many different theories of how people learn and how different people learn differently. Hence, literature on the various teaching methods to meet these diversified learning styles and needs is plentiful. However, very little, if none at all, has been written to show learning and teaching/training as an intertwining continuous developmental process that begins at birth through childhood and adolescence to old age for a typical learner as well as an atypical learner. This paper is an attempt to examine that often forgotten learning-teaching/learning-training process that develops and changes continuously throughout one’s lifetime.
