Effect of Different Sinusoidal Dynamic Water Pressures on the Anticlogging Performance of Labyrinth Emitters

To investigate the effect of sinusoidal pressure parameters on the anticlogging performance of labyrinth emitters, this study employs the computational fluid dynamics–discrete element method to numerically simulate the turbid water irrigation process under various sinusoidal pressure combinations. The number of sediment particles passing through the emitter outlet was counted to quantify the influence of different sinusoidal pressure parameters on anticlogging performance. A multiple linear regression model was subsequently fitted to relate the sinusoidal parameters to the sediment particle passage rate. The results demonstrate that the optimal anticlogging performance occurs with a sinusoidal period of 4 s, a base pressure of 0.08 MPa, and an amplitude of 0.02 MPa, which aligns with the numerical simulation findings. For the established multivariate linear regression model, the deviation between model values and simulated values is within 10%., indicating its high accuracy. These findings provide a reference for research on emitter anticlogging performance and the prediction of sediment particle passage rates.
