Assumptions, archival foundations and conservation premises for the restoration of the Raczyński residence at Rogalin, branch of the National Museum in Poznań, to its historical shape

<ns3:p>Since 2015, the Rogalin Palace Museum has been open to the public in a form that reflects its pre-war character as the seat of the Raczyński family. Owing to war losses and damage dating from the communist era, as well as requirements associated with its function as a museum, the renovation and modernisation carried out in the years 2007–2009 and 2013– 2015 is not complete. However, efforts were made to faithfully recreate valuable features of the buildings, their environs and historical décor by making use of original artefacts and carrying out reconstructions. This process, initiated by Mateusz Pawlaczyk’s research in the 1970s and 1980s, required lengthy debates and analyses, which resulted in the creation of detailed guidelines for the works. Thanks to this, it was possible to recognise the former Raczyński residence as a Historic Monument.</ns3:p>
