The Hubble Tension as a Distance-Dependent Readout Effect: Forward Prediction of 𝐻(𝑅)/𝐻∞ from Local Large-Scale Structure in the Δ𝑇 Framework

The 4–5σ discrepancy between distance-ladder measurements of the Hubble constant (H0 ≈ 73 km s−1 Mpc−1) and CMB-inferred values (H0 ≈ 67.4 km s−1 Mpc−1) has conventionally been framed as a conflict between two independent true values. We challenge this premise. The differing H0 values reported by SH0ES and DESI BAO are not in fundamental conflict; rather, they reflect readings of the same underlying cosmic structure field H(R) through probe-specific distance windows. Applying the ΔT time-structure framework (Paper I^1) to the 2M++ density and peculiar velocity reconstruction, extended to z ≤ 0.30 via the WISExSCOS photometric catalogue, we forward-predict the radial profile H(R)/H∞ without free scaling parameters. The predicted H0 = 72.77 km s−1 Mpc−1, derived from the line-of-sight average over 238 SH0ES Hubble-flow supernovae, is consistent with the observed value (73.0 ± 1.0 km s−1 Mpc−1) to within 1σ, and all seven DESI DR1 BAO bins fall within the far-field equilibrium band (ρ∞ ± 2σ∞). The operational equilibrium scale Req = 590 h−1 Mpc is determined directly from the data. A two-point asymptotic fit to the ΔT-predicted SH0ES and BAO BGS values yields Heq ≃ 67.47 km s−1 Mpc−1, consistent within rounding with the Planck value, without using CMB data as input. The Hubble tension is not a contradiction to be resolved, but a metrological consequence of the distance-dependent profile of the cosmic structure field.
