Assessing the impact of emerging educational technologies on student performance, retention and ethical engagement in higher education post-pandemic

This study investigates the impact of emerging educational technologies and pedagogical approaches on student performance, retention and Ethical Engagement in higher education institutions post-COVID-19. Using a sample of 742 respondents from 63 institutes, the research employs multiple regression analysis to explore how interactive learning technologies, personalized learning experiences, collaborative learning tools, and digital literacy improvement affect student performance, while gamification elements, real-time feedback mechanisms, integration of augmented reality, and student autonomy in learning are examined in relation to student retention. The findings indicate that interactive learning technologies and personalized learning experiences significantly enhance student performance, whereas gamification elements, integration of augmented reality, and student autonomy positively influence retention. The analysis highlights that real-time feedback mechanisms do not significantly impact retention, suggesting a nuanced role of different educational tools. The study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers on optimizing educational strategies in the evolving digital landscape.
