To solve math problems, no matter if it is a regular calculator or digital device. They're often a problem the web page operators have difficulty navigating. Hence, trying to achieve this in a more natural setting, offering our own interpretation, we designed an internet calculator for hand gestures and then through our tutorial sessions introduced everyone—without use of keyboard events at all! We relied on real-time computer vision and generative AI to deliver an interactive, hands-free math-solving experience. In Python, using OpenCV and MediaPipe in lockstep with those gestures is an AI model called Gemini—built by the Google team—which reads that language and provides step-by-step explanations as it goes along. The framework is Streamlit: lightweight, responsive, and incredibly user-friendly. Free-form is not just a name for the standard tool; it actually does a lot of mathematical operations that can be solved using this online calculator. It's quite possible to do questions like simple calculations or even complex matrix operations such as addition and transposition. In addition (or subtraction), for instance, integrals of calculus also come out exactly right up and down the line this way, whatever shape it may be that a user has drawn into the terminal—triangles, congruent angles, or square brackets. This system takes the dimensions of those objects and works them out for you with mathematical reasoning properly filed. Bringing together computer vision and generative AI techniques, this represents a completely new approach to mathematical education.
