Analysis code and dataset for: "Uncertainty-aware, bias-corrected wave reanalysis inputs for wave energy applications: a decision-oriented framework"

This record contains the Python analysis code and collocated buoy–reanalysis dataset accompanying the paper: Oikonomou, C.L.G., Rizaev, I.G., Korres, G., Denaxa, D., Sheng, W., Aggidis, G. (2026). Uncertainty-aware, bias-corrected wave reanalysis inputs for wave energy applications: a decision-oriented framework. Submitted to Applied Ocean Research. The code implements a decision-oriented framework for transforming wave reanalysis data into uncertainty-aware, bias-corrected inputs for wave energy applications. Three bias-correction methods are evaluated: Delta-Change (DC), Empirical Quantile Mapping (EQM), and Quantile Delta Mapping (QDM). The dataset contains collocated significant wave height and mean wave period from seven offshore buoys in the western Mediterranean Sea (2007–2022) (Copernicus Marine in situ TAC) and the Copernicus Marine Service Mediterranean wave reanalysis product (MEDSEA_MULTIYEAR_WAV_006_012).
