Making Software Citation Easy and Useful

This presentation outlines a few gaps in infrastructure supporting software citation. Authors are the leaders of the "Making Software Citation Easy and Useful" working group was formed in the Research Software Alliance (ReSA) under the Research Software Infrastructure (RSI) Forum, a collaboration of infrastructure organisations committed to supporting research software, and those who develop it, as fundamental and vital to research. The presentation was given by the first author separately to representatives of DataCite and Zenodo with the leaders of the RSI Forum in attendance. A representative from GitHub was not available. Outcomes from this and later work will be summarized in an upcoming blog post.
