GROWING: Structural Conditions for Regenerative Sport Systems

GROWING defines the structural conditions under which sport systems can achieve regenerative growth. Unlike strategic or operational frameworks, these conditions are non-negotiable constraints. Where they are absent, growth cannot occur. This standard forms part of the Citizens Sports Structural Standards Series. It complements CS-SS-001 — The Nourishment Gateway, which provides a binary diagnostic of system regeneration. While the Gateway tests whether a system is regenerative or extractive, GROWING defines the conditions required for regeneration to be possible. Together, these standards establish a foundation for evaluating and designing sustainable sport ecosystems.
