Metal–organic framework heterostructures featuring tunable morphologies and compositions have shown great promise for applications in high-throughput sensing, anti-counterfeiting, and information encryption. In Research Article (e25577), Zhenhua Gao and co-workers have developed a facet-selective epitaxial growth approach for architecting spatially defined dimensional heterostructures, which provides a pathway for synthesizing hierarchical heterostructures with tailored photonic architectures for advanced optoelectronic applications.
