A Spurious-Free Antenna for Rectifying Antenna Applications

A simple rectangular microstrip-patch antenna has been designed in this paper for rectifying antenna applications. In this proposed structure compact in size and also spurious free antenna up to the fourth harmonics has developed by using rectangular slot etched in ground plane and U shaped slot etched at feed line. Antenna is designed at operating frequency of 5.8 GHz, simulated gain and radiation efficiency are 4.58 and 70% respectively at operating frequency. The difference of Cross and Co-Polarization difference both orthogonal planes more than 35 dB. These fruitful properties are well suited for rectifying antenna applications.
