Plants used against cold and fever

The present study aims to document the ethnobotanical use of medicinal plants employed in the treatment of cold and fever across various traditional and folk medicine systems. A comprehensive review of published literature was conducted to compile information on plant species, their families, modes of preparation and administration. A total of 30 plant species belonging to 24 families were recorded, with Fabaceae and Apocynaceae being the most represented families. The findings highlight the rich diversity of plant-based remedies and their continued relevance in primary healthcare.
