LEGO® Temperature Booth: Construction Manual for Urban Climate Workshops

This repository contains the construction manual for a custom-built LEGO®-based “Temperature Booth”, developed as part of an interactive urban climate outreach workshop. The Temperature Booth is used to scan participant-built LEGO® cities and convert them into land-cover representations for rapid temperature simulation using a machine learning model. The system enables real-time visualization of urban heat island (UHI) effects and supports hands-on learning about climate adaptation strategies. The provided material includes:- A step-by-step LEGO® construction guide (PDF format)- Example images of the fully assembled structure and intermediate stages The design is optimized for:- Educational outreach (ages ~7–12)- Public science events (e.g., science festivals)- Rapid deployment and robustness in high-interaction environments Instructions for integrating the Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Camera are not included in this guide.
