Analog Mixer with Ionizing-Radiation-Test Capabilities

Current open-source silicon platforms streamline the chip procurement process, thereby increasing accessibility for a broad range of developers. They also provide means for facilitating the implementation of Online test capabilities for analog, digital, and mixed signal Systems on Chips. This allows us to plan an extended campaign of online tests. Selftest capabilities can also leverage open source silicon tools. This permits us to study mixer behavior in a harsh environment such as space. This paper shows how both capabilities can be implemented in a costeffective manner during the development of an analog mixer. The planned tests are oriented to ionizing-radiation-effects-studies. In particular, we focus on SEU (Single Event Upsets) effects.
