The Human Architecture of Institutions

This manuscript explores institutional behaviour through the lens of behavioural economics, introducing a unified framework that integrates dignity, trust, incentives, and system design. Drawing from lived educational experience and interdisciplinary theory, the work argues that institutions do not fail due to lack of individual capability, but due to misaligned behavioural architectures. Concepts such as the Monitoring Trap, Information Asymmetry, Silent Systems, and Human Architecture are examined to demonstrate how systems shape behaviour. The study proposes that trust is not merely a moral value but a rational economic variable that reduces agency costs and enhances cooperation. The framework aims to bridge theory and practice, offering insights for educators, leaders, and policy designers.
