Analysis Between Learning Techniques and the Learners' Learning Outcomes

The study sought to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of study techniques in the English subject when grouped into Reading Textbooks, Taking Notes, and Memorizing, and their relationship to the academic learning outcomes of pupils in the English subject. The descriptive-correlational research method was utilized, and the Statistical tools used in the study were mean and standard deviation to analyze data for problem 1; frequency and parentage were used to determine the pupils' learning outcomes. Pearson product-moment correlation was used to determine the relationship between variables. Findings revealed that the pupils rarely used textbook reading techniques and that reading textbooks is a long-lasting, complex process. The pupils need the ability to read text, process it, and understand its meaning. It also requires a strategy to deal with those situations. Their skills influence an individual's strategy to comprehend text. Pupils with strong reading comprehension skills will easily understand text, and vice versa. In summary, it was recommended that the learning technique moderately affects the pupils' learning outcomes. Study techniques are essential to every pupil. It is a tool for acquiring a deeper understanding of different subject areas. It takes good study skills, patience, and determination to attain higher grades.
