A Topological Invariant for Adversarial Detection in AI Safety: Graph Cohomology in the Reflexive Epistemic Fabric

This note establishes that Triggered Non-Orientability in the AxoDen Reflexive Epistemic Fabric is equivalent to the appearance of a non-trivial class in the first cohomology group H^1(G_u; Z/2Z) of the undirected signed shadow graph. The proof uses only the existing D104 graph construction and Zaslavsky’s signed-graph balance theory, so it does not depend on the unresolved Epistemic Group Construction Problem (EGCP). The result upgrades D104’s adversarial detection mechanism from a graph-theoretic heuristic description to a topological invariant, while keeping the stronger Souriau Lie-theoretic interpretation outside the scope of the present note. This record establishes prior art for the discrete cohomological interpretation of adversarial detection in the AxoDen Reflexive Epistemic Fabric. It should be cited as proof of the Zaslavsky-path result only. As a standalone theorem-level companion to Reflexive Epistemic Fabric (Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19295830), it establishes that D104 adversarial injection detection admits a discrete cohomological interpretation in H^1(G_u; Z/2Z), that Triggered Non-Orientability corresponds to transition from the trivial to a non-trivial switching class, and that SRAC tag 0x43 may be interpreted as a witness for a non-trivial cohomology class. It does not claim resolution of EGCP, derivation of entropy equivalence, or proof of the continuous Souriau Lie-algebraic cocycle programme.
