The phenomenon of intellectual extremism is one of the most dangerous phenomena that threaten the stability, security and safety of societies, as its spread leads to a threat to the security and safety of the state and the dismantling of its social structure, as well as it causes the spread of manifestations of violence and terrorism. This study aims to review and analyze ways to combat intellectual extremism from a legal point of view, including penal legislation and criminal policies adopted to confront this phenomenon by reviewing and analyzing the existing legislative frameworks and identifying their shortcomings, with a focus on the experiences of other countries in this field, and studying the extent to which it can be used in developing the legislative system in a way that achieves addressing intellectual extremism in a comprehensive and integrated manner, and takes into account the intellectual, social and psychological dimensions that lead to the emergence of this phenomenon. Dangerous in society. The study also addresses the importance of adopting productive preventive strategies, including the dissemination of moderate ideology and updating educational curricula to enhance awareness of the dangers of extremism, in addition to developing clear penal legal frameworks to deal with crimes resulting from extremist ideology, both at the internal level .
