THE PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL MOVEMENT IN THE CZECH LANDS 1897-1914.

The article examines the origins and development of the progressive movement in the Czech lands in the period from 1897 to 1914. The radical political movement was not a feature of the Czech people alone; similar processes took place among many peoples of Europe oppressed by empires at the end of the 19th century. The Czech radical movement included not only national and social parties, but also specific state-legal ones.
