Clinical and experimental research of two-stage correction of face and neck muscles with Relatox to substantiate full face & neck technique

Objective. To evaluate efficacy and safety of full face and neck botulinum therapy with Relatox compared to botulinum toxin injections into the upper third of the face, as well as patient and physician satisfaction with treatment outcomes. Material and methods. The study involved 14 women aged 43-65 years who underwent two-stage correction: stage I — injections into the muscles of the upper third of the face, stage II — injections into the muscles of the lower third of the face and neck. Survey, photographic documentation, and clinical assessment by physician were used to evaluate treatment outcomes. Results. Isolated upper third facial correction provides partial improvement. However, it is accompanied by compensatory increase in muscle activity in the lower third of the face and neck. Two-stage protocol demonstrated better lifting effect, facial contour harmonization, and high satisfaction. All patients and physicians reported positive results after therapy. No side effects were recorded. Conclusion. Full face and neck botulinum therapy with Relatox is an effective and safe method for correcting muscle activity with favorable clinical results.
