Verdade testemunhal e dom de si

Este artigo analisa a crise contemporânea da chamada pós-verdade à luz da antropologia teológica desenvolvida nos números 22 a 24 da Constituição Pastoral Gaudium et Spes. Partindo de um contexto cultural marcado pela fragmentação do sentido e pela instrumentalização da verdade no espaço público, o estudo tem como objetivo mostrar que a antropologia conciliar oferece uma resposta teológica consistente tanto ao relativismo quanto a posturas autoritárias. Metodologicamente, o trabalho adota uma abordagem teológico-hermenêutica, articulando análise textual do magistério conciliar com diálogo crítico com a reflexão antropológica e epistemológica contemporânea. Sustenta-se que, ao centrar a compreensão do humano na revelação de Cristo e na lógica do dom sincero de si, Gaudium et Spes propõe uma concepção de verdade de caráter testemunhal e relacional. A verdade, nesse horizonte, manifesta-se na vida concreta, na comunhão e no compromisso ético, não como proposição abstrata, mas como experiência vivida e comunicável. Conclui-se que essa perspectiva possui relevantes implicações epistemológicas e pastorais, ao indicar que o anúncio cristão, para ser publicamente inteligível e credível, deve articular coerência existencial, racionalidade orientada ao bem comum e responsabilidade social. Abstract: This article examines the contemporary crisis commonly referred to as “post-truth” in light of the theological anthropology developed in numbers 22 to 24 of the Pastoral Constitution Gaudium et Spes. Starting from a cultural context marked by the fragmentation of meaning and the instrumentalization of truth in the public sphere, the study aims to demonstrate that conciliar anthropology offers a consistent theological response to both relativism and authoritarian postures. Methodologically, the article adopts a theological-hermeneutical approach, combining textual analysis of the conciliar magisterium with critical dialogue with contemporary anthropological and epistemological reflection. It argues that, by centering the understanding of the human person on the revelation of Christ and on the logic of the sincere gift of self, Gaudium et Spes proposes a conception of truth that is testimonial and relational in character. In this horizon, truth manifests itself in concrete life, in communion, and in ethical commitment, not as an abstract proposition but as a lived and communicable experience. The article concludes that this perspective has significant epistemological and pastoral implications, indicating that the Christian proclamation, in order to be publicly intelligible and credible, must integrate existential coherence, a rationality oriented toward the common good, and social responsibility.
