Design and Implementation of a Secure Communication System Using Li-Fi for RF-Restricted Areas: A Review

Beyond conventional radio frequency (RF)-based solutions like Wi-Fi, new technologies must be developed in order to meet the growing demand for fast, safe, and effective wireless communication. A cutting-edge technology called Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) makes use of visible light communication (VLC) to provide fast data transfer. Li-Fi offers a novel way to get over the drawbacks of RF-based networks thanks to the quick development of LED technology and optical wireless communication. In order to prevent external interception, a secure Li-Fi communication system for RF-restricted spaces uses visible light or infrared signals that are physically contained within a room. It also uses strong data encryption for an extra degree of protection. A secure communication system using Li-Fi in radio frequency (RF)-restricted areas offers significant advantages, including inherent physical security, zero electromagnetic interference (EMI), enhanced data density, and the ability to operate in environments where RF signals are prohibited.
