All data used in this manuscript is publically accessible from the ECMWF ERA5 portal, NOAA SST portal, and from IBTrACKS portal. Dataset uploaded here is specific to the Northern Indian Ocean region and more specifically to the Lakshadweep Archipelago. 1. File "AS_SST" and "BoB_SST" correspond to mean monthly SST for 2x2 degree grid cells. 2. File "Extreme_cyclone_daily_sst" lists the daily SST from ERA5 reanalysed dataset specific to the dates that correspond to the most extreme compound events based on our analysis. The file lists 7 cyclones and the specific SST during their propagation. 3. File "LKD_rtn_level_height_28-11-25" and "LKD_rtn_level_rain_29-11-25" lists the return periods and the estimated measure of daily maximum wave height and daily maximum rainfall intensity respectively. These values have been estimated for each of the 10 inhabited islands in Lakshadweep along with their credible intervals. 4. File "Cyclone_RTN_plots_8-1-26" lists cyclonic storms that have led to extreme compound events for each island in the Lakshadweep. Cyclone wind speed, its category along with distance of each storm from all island is presented as well. Codes relevant to the study have also been shared. 1. File "SST_wind_Shear_plots_and_regression" lists the necessary codes and packages to detrend wind shear and SST data from the study site and reroduce results and figures presented in the submitted manuscript. 2. File "Coumpound_events_31-10-25"contains codes to conduct return level analysis for extreme wave height and rainfall intensity for each of the 10 inhabited islands of Lakshadweep. All plot related to the analysis and results can be reproduced through this file. 3. File "Counterfactual and storyline_11-1-25" contains codes for replicating the storyline analysis. detrending SST aound the study site, geenrating priors associated with each storyline is contained here along with codes for replicating figures found in the manuscript.
