Abstract

A rising number of older, frailer people are being admitted to acute hospital care who present with complex, multifactorial health issues (British Geriatrics Society 2023). In this population, understanding the person's presentation is key to supporting appropriate diagnosis and management through a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) (Turner 2014, Centre for Reviews and Dissemination 2017).
